If you are going to put your subtitled video on your web site, there are 2 ways to display subtitles:|
1) Place the video and subtitles on your web site, and view it as a “progressive download”. Progressive download means that you cannot jump to the middle or the end of a video without seeing it from the beginning. You will watch the video “progressively” as it downloads. YouTube is “progressive download”. The player bundle that this software gives you is also progressive. You can put it right on your own web site and your own web server.
2) The other way to display subtitles is called “streaming subtitles”. Streaming means that you can jump to any part of the movie anytime, so is not necessary to watch the video from beginning to end. There is a shorter waiting time before viewing, as well. In order to “stream” your subtitles, it is necessary to “host” your subtitles on a special server. This will cost money – probably per month – because is uses the storage space and technical services of a streaming host company.
