In the past, subtitling for the web has been a matter of compressing a subtitled DVD image and squeezing it on a web page in a specific location. With the massive changes in bandwidth, on-line subtitling for the web is becoming its own specialty, with or without voice translation or foreign language voice talent recording, subtitles can also stand alone and save money for the translation process.
